When Juventus beat Lazio: ‘This was not an easy game’

Juventus scored the opener against Lazio in their Serie A opener and have not lost in nine games.

Coach Massimiliano Allegri’s side took the lead through Gonzalo Higuain’s goal with a fine header from the edge of the box.

A minute later, a low shot by Diego Milito was saved by Giorgio Chiellini.

The Bianconeri went ahead through a Diego Costa free-kick.

And three minutes later, Antonio Candreva was sent off for a second yellow card for a handball.

Juventus doubled their advantage through Alessio Romagnoli’s strike, and the Italians were on course for a third.

The hosts had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
