New iPhones are the latest to boast a digital camera, and new iPads are the newest to boast an Apple Pencil.
Both of those gadgets are set to hit stores on Sept. 29.
The new iPhones and iPads will be manufactured by Foxconn and Apple respectively, and they will also have a fingerprint sensor.
The fingerprint sensor will reportedly be the most important new feature of the devices.
The first iPhone 8 and 8 Plus will be the first iPhones with a fingerprint scanner, but they are both slated to go on sale next month.
While the iPhone 8 is expected to feature a 12-megapixel rear camera, Apple is also said to be working on a new front-facing camera with a 16-megapixels resolution.
The company is said to have a plan to upgrade both the iPhone X and iPhone XR cameras with new sensors that are up to four times the resolution of the one on the iPhone 7 Plus.
While that may sound like a lot, Apple’s plans for the fingerprint scanner in its next iPhones are also a lot more expansive.
Apple is planning to upgrade the iPhone lineup to feature an “anti-surfing” technology that will let it scan your phone’s front and rear cameras.
The tech will reportedly allow Apple to scan the front and back cameras at up to 40 percent of the resolution while remaining in the scanner’s autofocus mode.
While it’s unclear what Apple will use to scan both the front camera and the rear camera on the next iPhone, the company is working to develop a solution that works for both.
Apple also said it will offer a software update for the iPhone SE and the iPhone 9 next month, with a focus on speed and power.
Apple said it plans to introduce a “new fingerprint sensor” in the iPhone 10 in 2019, and the company’s plans to expand its line of devices with new features is no surprise.
The iPhone 10 will be released next year, but Apple is still working on its own fingerprint scanner.
In addition to the fingerprint sensor, the next-generation iPhone will have a smaller camera, as well as a new iPhone SE camera.
The next-gen iPhone will also feature an improved display, a redesigned keyboard, a new home button, a wireless charging adapter, and a larger display.
The biggest news in the smartphone industry right now is Apple’s announcement that the company has sold 1 billion iPhones in the past 12 months.
The news comes as Apple’s stock has soared nearly 20 percent this year, and analysts are predicting that Apple will be able to hit $1 trillion in revenue this year.
