The University of Toronto and its electronic platform WPS are collaborating on a platform that aims to enable learners to explore new ways to engage with digital learning platforms, such as online courses.
The platform will offer access to the full curriculum from a student’s school’s online course library, with the help of the university’s WPS eLearning platform.
In a joint announcement Tuesday, WPS and the university said that the platform will be built using the university WPS platform, the WPS App for iOS and Android and a WPS website.
“WPS is excited to partner with the University of Ontario on a project that will transform the digital learning experience for our students and students of other universities,” said WPS president and CEO Chris Friesen.
“This partnership will allow students to explore more of their education through the platform, which will be the perfect companion to their classroom and classroom learning experience.
We are looking forward to collaborating with the U of T to bring the platform to classrooms across Canada.”
The partnership will be available through the Wps App for iPhone and iPad, as well as through the university website.
It will also be available to students on Mac and Windows computers.
The university says the platform is the first to be developed for digital learning.
“We’ve always been aware of the importance of connecting students to the most cutting-edge learning experiences,” said University of Ontarians Chair of Digital Education and Information Technology (EDIT) Prof. Jodi Dufresne.
The University’s eLearning platforms, including WPS, were developed by WPS in partnership with several universities and businesses in Ontario and abroad. “
The partnership with the university will allow us to offer students access to a much more comprehensive digital learning platform and, in turn, the opportunity to learn from our world-leading faculty.”

The partnership with University of York is an extension of WPS’ recent partnership with a digital platform owned by the university, which has provided the university with a platform for teachers to use to offer a wide range of digital learning experiences.
